So are there powerPC install DVD disk ISOs? or I m going to staples tomorrow.
So this iso has files this machine can run, but me making the ISO wrong or making it on a DVD rather than CD is the issue? I clicked on that button, it rebooted, sounded like it was reading the dvd, the grey screen / folder with ? flashed for a couple seconds and then it booted from the hard drive. I clicked on that, a window opened saying to reboot the computer to start the install. Got a link to an install ISO that belongs on a DVD? But then it also has to be able to run on a powerPC, right? Newer disks programs won't run on powerPCs?Īs I typed this I realized - let me see if I can run something on the disk. It had the caption on the disk 'Mac OS X install disk 1 and the disk said DVD on it (so it knew the disk was a DVD even with a CD's ISO burned to it?!). I did the 2nd one (does it matter what shift / command keys I hold?) and got a grey screen with a little folder in the middle that alternated between a ? and a head?.Īnd then after letting go and some time, it booted from the hard drive.Īll times, it showed the hard drive AND the disk. I did the C key both till I saw the apple logo show up and then just kept holding it. I really appreciate all you are doing with this here : )
